The Praying Mantis

Here are two praying mantis in a little room we made.  My sister and I found them in our hedge.  I did a search on them and found out if they were males or females.  They are both females.  I found out that they can kill animals three times its size.

Swimming Sports Postponed

Kia ora koutou

Due to the cooler weather, our swimming sports has been postponed to Wednesday 27th February. Here's hoping for a much warmer day.

On Friday 22 Nga Kaho will be having their swimming sports at school from 11.30-1pm. Parents, grandparents and friends are invited to come along, support and cheer for the children.  

Room 13 Newsletter

Kia ora koutou

A warm welcome to the students and whanau of Room 13 of 2013. This year our class is a part of a larger team called Nga Kaho (meaning saplings). Rooms 8,9,10,11,12 and 13 make up Nga Kaho, and we all are composite classes. Rooms 8, 9, 10 are made up of Year 2's and 3's and Rooms 11,12,13 are made up of Year 3's and 4's. Gail Kelly and I are the Team Leaders leading the Team for 2013.
We really want to begin our year by building strong working relationships with our students and with the families. Please view the blog with your child as your child will have opportunities to upload from home, and leave a comment!
