Orienteering by Quinn N

Hi room 6!
On Tuesday  I went to camp at Omatua and I did Orienteering with my tribe, Totara. It was one of our activities.

Orienteering  is a long walk following a map and using an ipod.

We walked up a steep hill on Mr Absolum's  farm which has a private road. The road had black tar and lots of stones, and it was a sunny day. I saw cows and sheep. I also saw  lots of cow poo and sheep poo.
I saw some smelly and yucky mud.
Finally it was the finish. I was so hot!

Orienteering by Quinn O

On Tuesday last  week we went orienteering at  Camp Omatua on Mr Absolum's  farm.
My tribe Tawa climbed steep hills, we followed the road and a map  so we didn't get lost. we used an iPod to take pictures for the activities.
On the way we saw cow poo, sheep and  pigs and  I  got electrocuted.
Finally we came to the end. I was hot.

liams hunting trip

This  is my cousin holding a baby rabbit.
After school camp on Thursday me and my dad and brother went hunting for the weekend. We shot 3 pigs. I was really excited because I shot my first pig. The ginger one on the left weighed in at 112 pounds. We entered it in a pig hunting competition. We got 6th place, so I won lots of hunting gear.
These are my uncle's puppies. He has trained them to hunt pigs.

Napiers new cranes

 W
When the new cranes arrived at the port
they came in bits.

Some men came from a place called Chile,
to put them together.

the crane so it  doesn't fall over.

The Sand Dunes By Rebekah

In the holidays Mum took us to Levin but we actually stayed in Foxton (which is about 20 minutes from Levin).  We slept in bunks, which is really fun apart from when your big sister keeps on rocking the bed too much.  I liked coming home to the bach every night and organizing my bed.  One night I was really lucky,(since I always wish I could sleep on the top,) my big sister went and stayed at my aunty's so I got to sleep on the top bunk with my little sister sleeping on the bottom.  In the morning while my little sister and I were still in bed we passed notes to each other with my rope.  One morning we got to go to the sand dunes.  My legs got sore from climbing the steep sand dunes.  Unfortunately it wasn't a very nice day but we still really enjoyed it.
